When designing new home almost every client we come across has a need for a new TV in their home.  Whether it’s a Flat Panel LCD, Flat Panel Plasma, Rear Projection TV or Front Projection, the question of size always comes up.  Most people tend to want to buy the biggest TV they can afford, however I strongly discourage you from doing that.  If you buy a 50″ flat panel TV, and your are sitting 4′ from the front of the TV, the image will look pixelated (even if you get a top of the line 1080p TV), and you will find that you have to move your head to see the full image.

Find a contractor with a good reputation, and who can deliver the highest quality home.  Find a builder who will listen and work with you.  When interviewing your contractor or home builder make sure to ask really good questions to ensure that you are both on the same page.  It is important to realize that you are building a relationship where both of you (in addition to your interior designer) will be working together to complete the common goal of turning your home design into reality. October 1st, 2008 – Chicago, IL

Design Inside (designInsideChicago.com) recently received recognition from the famous Chicago Art Source for a recently completed townhome project in the Lake View neighborhood of Chicago, IL. Design Inside assisted the customer in re-designing his living room and selected modern furniture that focused on clean line. Part of the project involved displaying fifteen botanical prints which were framed by Chicago Art Source. The completed home is now featured on the Chicago Art Source’s Web Site, and will be featured in a future print publication which will be distributed to customers. Read more →
