Simple clean design combined with touches of international artwork and accessories combine to make this River North living room an inviting space to relax.
Project Description:
Located in the River North neighborhood of Chicago, the couple that owned this townhome wanted to replace their Ikea furniture with something a bit more sophisticated yet livable since they had a newborn on the way.
Inspiration:
The bold Indian artwork the couple purchased from their travels inspired the earth tone color pallet.
What We Did:
We selected of the furniture, window treatments, rugs and case pieces for the living room and dining room.
Highlights:
- The large sofa and matching accent chairs provide ample seating for 5 adults.
- The colorful cabinet hides away the DVD Player, Cable Box and other AV gear.
- Dramatic lamps add a touch of high design.
- The large trunk functions as a coffee table while offering large drawers for storage of blankets.
- The bright and colorful artwork and accessories bring in a touch of international design.
- A large dining table offers a formal space for guests to dine.

I love the great Asian and Indian accessories and how they are intertwined with basic yet beautiful pieces of furniture. This townhome has come a long way from the previous pieces of Ikea furniture.
