Modern Museum District Living & Dining Room

When this customer asked Design Inside to re-design the living room in his 2 bedroom townhouse that he was about to close on, we immediately knew that the first thing we wanted to do was to open up the space which was closed off by an existing wall between the living room and the kitchen. Opening up the space would allow us to create a modern space that would be a great for relaxing, watching TV and entertaining.

We designed the open floor plan to allow the client to comfortably sit 4 people in the formal living space, while having additional space for guests at the dining room table, or at the kitchen island.  The entire space was wired for surround sound which is great for watching the game or a movie, or he could turn down the lights and start a nice fire.

For the dining room, we decided to remove the bold wallpaper and replace it with a chiseled stone wall tile with tiny pin lights which cast a dramatic effect on the textured wall.
