This Chicago couple recently moved in together to a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo in the beautiful Lincoln Park area. Their goal was to create a beautiful and inviting space that was cohesive, fit both of their design tastes and utilized their existing furniture where possible. When it came to this room the space was underutilized and only used for a living room. When this couple hired Design Inside to help them out, the first thing we did was look at the room with a fresh perspective and draw up 4 different floor plans. The budget design utilized all existing furniture while the high-end design called for mostly new pieces. The final configuration that was selected utilized a mixture of the new and older furniture with a completely new layout which focused on creating different seating zones and a dining area for entertaining. In the end this couple was able to combine many of their existing pieces of furniture and utilize every square foot of the space and end up with a living and dining room space instead of just a living room.
