When this couple hired Design Inside to design an entirely new master bathroom for their Gold Coast condo, we started by removing (on paper) all of the walls, fixtures, and lighting and started with a clean slate. By doing this we were able to design a space that fit the customers needs. Highlights of this new bathroom include:
- A floating vanity and floating mirrors with cove lighting to give a dramatic yet soothing feeling to the room
- Vanity mirrors have built-in medicine cabinets for secret storage of personal toiletries
- Separate makeup area with wall outlets hidden in the cabinets
- Custom made sliding barn door create a grand entrance to the master bathroom
- Large scale dark brown ceramic floor tile
- Large walk-in shower with hand shower and large scale ceramic tile placed in a unique vertical pattern
- Unique frosted glass between the shower and the enclosed commode allow light to pass through the area without sacrificing privacy
- Large walk-in closet

Thanks for commenting Gov. The door was custom made by the builder/contractor we used. The door hardware was from Hafele. They have amazing hardware, however they are a bit expensive.
If you live in Chicago, you can check out their showroom as well to get some design ideas.

The door was stained an espresso color. Unfortunately, we no longer have the wood or stain color written down, otherwise we would share it with you.
